"To be honest," Jeff Seidel writes in his Free Press sports column, "it was hard to see this coming."

That's why "it's totally understandable for the Pistons to celebrate after this one," he adds about Friday night's 109-99 win over the Miami Heat.

It was the wildest thing. The Pistons' bench was hanging with the Heat. Blow for blow. . . . The Pistons were showing heart, composure and determination. . . .

The smallest guy on the court came up with the biggest game. [Will Bynum] was driving to the hoop, and swishing jumpers, and tossing alley-oops, and throwing behind-the-back no-look passes, and swishing everything in sight -- coming off the bench to score 25 points.

"Obviously, Will was very special," Pistons coach Lawrence Frank said.
