Shake Shack, the New York-based chain, plans to open an outlet in late winter in the First National Building on Woodward and Fort Street, Brenna Houck of Eater Detroit reports.
A signage is up outside, though the company isn't giving a target opening date.
The company says it serves "100% all-natural Angus beef, vegetarian fed, humanely raised and source verified. No hormones or antibiotics – ever. We pride ourselves on sourcing incredible ingredients from like-minded artisanal producers."
The chain also serves chicken sandwiches, beef and chicken hot dogs, crinkle fries, frozen custard and -- of course -- shakes. .
