Faith Green, mother of four Dearborn Heights children allegedly murdered last week by her husband, will speak about the tragedy on Wednesday morning before a closed visitation vigil for her children, The Detroit News reports.
Green, 39, plans to address the media at the O.H. Pye III Funeral Home on Detroit's west side, family spokesman Lloyd Banks tells Oralandar Brand-Williams.
Gregory Green is behind bars, awaiting trial. Authorities say that the 49-year-old bound his wife last Wednesday, slashed her face with a box cutter and shot her foot. She was hospitalized for two days.
Faith Green “wanted to ensure that the [children’s] story was told,” Banks says Tuesday, according to The News.
She welcomes questions about the children and "the generosity and outpouring of love from the community." says a funeral home media release. "The family wants the world to know the accomplishments and lives of these young people," the statement adds.
Green is described as willing to discuss how she and relatives are coping. "Absolutely no questions about the horrific incident that took the children’s lives or the days or months leading up to it,” journalists are advised.
The victims are his children Kaleigh, 4, and Koi, 5, as well as his stepchildren, Kara Allen, 17, and Chadney Allen, 19.
