Suburban Teen Drops Dead While Playing Basketball

A suburban teen dropped dead while playing basketball Tuesday night.

Cheryl Choden of WXYZ reports that Bryson Salem, 18, who was a Walled Lake Central High School graduate, collapsed while playing basketball at a fitness center. He was taken to Henry Ford Hospital in West Bloomfield where he was pronounced dead.

WXYZ reports that he had just started his freshman year at U of D Mercy and had hoped to become a dentist.

The cause of death has yet to be announced.
