Burglaries in the past week have become fashionable in fashionable Royal Oak.
The Oakland Press reports that there were 10 burglaries in a week stretch from Oct. 11 to Oct. 17.
In one incident, on Oct. 11, a woman returned home in the 1400 block of Marylwood only to find that a thief who had come through the kitchen window, the paper reported. The thief fled, leaving behind valuables. She was unable to give a description of the person.
In another incident a woman in the 1100 block of Sherman reported someone making off with her undergarments from her apartment.
And at an apartment in the 1100 block of N. Center, the paper reported that a thief made off with a television, ring, cuff links, and an undisclosed amount of currency.
