Target Closing at Eastland Mall Early Next Year

With Internet shopping, these are not the best of times for big box retail stores.

Target, which is moving toward smaller-format stores, is shutting 12 large ones in the U.S. on Feb. 3 -- including the one at Eastland Mall in Harper Woods, CNBC reports.

Benton Harbor, Mich., also will lose a branch.
