The statistics are horrifying: Violent crime is still out of control in Detroit, or at least parts of the city.

It's still the Wild West in some neighborhoods.

Over the weekend, 21 people were shot in Detroit, seven of them fatally, according James David Dickson, Candice Williams and Mark Hicks of the Detroit News.

Detroit Police Chief James Craig said Monday at a press conference that there's been a disturbing number of shootings from vehicles in the city. In the weekend alone, seven involved shootings from cars.

At a press conference, he said it was the second most violent weekend of the year.

That's pretty scary considering, there was a more violent one, and that the year is less than half over.
