Someone has answered the needs of the  Masonic Temple in Detroit, the world's largest Masonic temple. 

The Detroit News reports that an anonymous donor has paid off the oustanding tax bill to the city of Detroit of $142,000.

Brian J. O'Connor writes that the posting of the payment comes just days before the June 3 deadline that would have put the temple at 500 Temple Street up on the county auction block.

“That was a blessing,” Masonic Temple Association President Roger Sobran said Thursday.
