Prosecutor Philip Seymour said Friday he reviewed police reports. . . He will recommend Deerfield Elementary Principal Kim Warren be charged with high blood alcohol content, a drinking and driving offense, and possessing an open intoxicant.
Reports show the blood alcohol content appeared to be over 0.17, twice the legal limit, he said. . . .A “bottle of alcohol [was] unsealed in the passenger seat,” said Seymour. He did not know the type of alcohol and Novi police said they were not releasing that information. . . .
Warren was taken into custody by the Novi Police around 2 p.m. Monday. School officials said Warren was in her running car on school property.
The 44-year-old mother of three was put on paid leave that day.
