Kriss Andrews is the new program manager in Detroit, in charge of heading one of the most complicated and emotion-laden tasks in Michigan municipal history: Restructuring Detroit city government.

He works with Mayor Dave Bing, and the relationship between the men -- both official and informal -- is unknown. Andrews has not held a press conference since being named to the job, and he has declined virtually all interviews.

Fox 2's Charlie LeDuff asks, "So who is Kriss Andrews? And where did he come from?"

LeDuf reports Andrews lives in Novi. Back in 1999, he worked at a Southfield based financial consulting firm where he directed a team assigned to manage 3,500 rental properties in Detroit after a sub-prime mortgage lender went bust. He eventually directed the company to file bankruptcy.

Most recently, Andrews served as the CFO for an Auburn Bills solar panel company. He also led the company into bankruptcy.
