This threesome turned messy.
The threesome involved a former Highland Park police reserve James Johnson, his wife Vivian Johnson and a current female Highland Park cop, Varee Roberson, according to Fox 2's Taryn Asher.
It ended with a standoff with guns and James Johnson being charged with attempting to kill his wife and Roberson. He learned Tuesday he's headed to trial.
"We had a threesome in June, I gave in hoping to keeping my husband at home and instead this is what it brought me," Vivian Johnson said told Fox 2's Taryn Asher.
Fox 2 reports things really got messy when the two women discovered that Johnson had been with a third woman.
So Vivian Johnson and Varee Roberson confronted Johnson in the bedroom of the Johnson's Center Line house last month.
James Johnson started to attack Roberson.
James Johnson fired a shot, barely missing his wife, Fox 2 reports.
Johnson left the house, and the two women took a bath and then walked out of the house together. They ended up facing off with James Johnson, who had his gun drawn. The Highland Park cop Roberson pointed a gun at James.
"He was saying I am going to kill you, to both females," said Lt. Tom Costello of the Center Line Police Department. "Obviously this is a very stressful situation and our officers deescalated it. They commanded the people to drop their weapons.
