Suicides at guns ranges happen from time to time.
The latest: A 28-year-old Waterford woman went to the Accurate Gun Range on Dixie Highway in Clarkston in northern Oakland County on Tuesday, bought three boxes of 0.9-mm ammunition and began practicing on the range with a rented gun, John Turk of the Oakland Press reported.
At 12:30 p.m., the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office got a call that the woman who fatally shot herself in the head at the range.
The Oakland Press reported that detectives reviewed a surveillance video which showed the woman shooting herself.
Suicides are a problem at gun ranges.
The Detroit Free Press reported in February 2013 that Target Sports in Royal Oak had two suicides and one attempted suicide in the past five months.
