
A pizza delivery woman and a suspected robber were wounded in a shootout on Detroit's west side on Wednesday night.
Mark Hicks of the Detroit News reports that Detroit Police are investigating what led to gunfire during a pizza delivery. Fox 2 reports that it appears to have been an attempted robbery.
The News and WXYZ report that a man and a woman were delivering a pizza from 7 Star Pizza in Livonia , about a mile away.
When they arrived at a home in the 8600 block of Kentucky near Joy around 8 p.m., they saw it was abandoned,
The News and Fox 2 report that two people approached them outside -- at least one with a gun. The male pizza delivery guy also produced a gun and gunfire broke out. The female delivery person was shot and wounded, as was one of the men who approached the drivers. The male pizza guy was not wounded.
The wounded male, suspected of wanting to rob the delivery drivers, was found on nearby Indiana. The other suspect fled and remains free.
