The University of Michigan public safety department posted a crime alert on its website about an armed robbery on campus Tuesday night.
According to the report, the incident happened shortly after 10 p.m. when the student was walking on North Campus, on a pathway between parking lots NC28 and NC46 off Hayward Avenue.
The report said the student was approached by a man with a handgun, who demanded money.
The student handed over cash to the man, who fled northward on foot.
