A 24-year-old daughter from the Flint area, who posed as her mother for a substitute teaching job for fifth graders on Monday in Waterford Township, was arrested for impersonating a sub, Fox 2 reports. So was the mother.
Taryn Asher of Fox 2 reports that an email was sent out to parents at the Riverside Elementary School about the incident. When the fake sub showed identification, she produced her mother's driver's license. Her mother is a legitimate sub.
Fox 2 reports that the fake sub took attendance and sent the students to physical education before the principal finally realized she didn't have the proper badge. .
Asher reports that the 44-year-old mom, who was hired as a sub through Edustaff, showed up at the school telling police her daughter filled in for her because she had an appointment. She was arrested.
