Tuesday, 11:20 a.m. -- Police gave the all-clear at around 9:30 a.m.
There are conflict reports about what triggered the scare, The Detroit News says. Some media outlets said it was a suspicious bag found near the front door of Roseville Middle School, but The News reports that an anonymous phone call around 7 a.m. set the chain of events in motion.
A police sweep of the school found nothing, the paper adds.
School reopened in the morning, but some parents picked up their children.

Could it be the real thing or just another ploy to shut school for the day?
Roseville Middle School was evacuated Tuesday morning because of a bomb threat, WDIV says. A police bomb squad investigated a bag found near the front of the Martin Road building.
Students went to an elementary school, the station reports.
