Advice for drivers everywhere: Just take the ticket and shut up.

Getting loud and obnoxious is virtually sure to end badly, as confirmed anew by a security camera video of a weekend scuffle outside a 7 Mile Road party store.

A woman is charged with resisting and obstructing a police officer, as well as the original driving citations.

Simon Shaykhet of WXYZ got the tape and does play-by-play:

The traffic stop in Detroit turned ugly fast with fists flying between a cop and the woman he pulled over. . . .

It all began Sunday afternoon with the officer ticketing the woman for no seatbelt, no registration, no license and expired plates.

But as the stop appeared to be wrapping up, words were exchanged and everything went sideways.

When the officer tried to place the woman under arrest, she wouldn't cooperate and he took her down. . . .

Investigators tell me the woman threatened the officer after learning her car would be impounded -- and that threat triggered the arrest.

A police commander says the officer acted properly, telling the TV reporter he followed "training protocol for use of force given her level of resistance."

The unnamed driver is charged with resisting and obstructing, WXYZ says.
