Suspect holds knife and goes for the cash drawer in scene from video at WWJ Radio's link below.
Andrew Hayden is accused of an illegal takeout from a Kentucky Fried Chicken register in Sterling Heights.
He left with cash snatched at knife-point, according to police at his arraignment Tuesday on charges of armed robbery and resisting arrest, WWJ reports. It posts a dramatic 49-second security camera video (below) released by detectives.
Police Lt. Luke Riley said it happened at around 9:20 p.m. Monday, shortly after the fast-food restaurant — on Van Dyke Ave. in Sterling Heights — closed for the night.
Riley said Hayden tricked a female employee into opening the door by saying his friend had been hit by a car.
In the video, the employee can be heard letting out a blood curdling scream when, once inside, the suspect points a knife at her as he demands she give him all the money in the register."

Andrew Hayden, 26
The 26-year-old suspect, disappointed to see Washingtons instead of Benjamins, can be heard saying “It’s only fucking ones.”
He's better-mannered before rushing out. “Thank you, I appreciate that. You guys have a good day!” he says.
He was arrested soon after at a nearby mobile home park, the lieutenant tells WWJ.
