Sunday night was a violent one in Detroit.

Holly Fournier of the Detroit News reports that two people were murdered and 15 were shot and wounded overnight in shootings throughout the city.

The first fatal shooting happened around  8:40 p.m. Sunday at West McNichols and Parkside Street on the city’s west side, the News reports.

WDIV reported that a 51-year-old was shot after arguing in a liquor store on  West McNichols.  The suspect then forced the victim at gunpoint into the victim’s car, and the victim began to drive.
He was shot about block away trying to escape.

Some two hours later,  a 25-year-old man was fatally shot in the 15200 block of Hazelridge near Kelly Road on the city’s east side, the News reports.
