To help combat opioid overdoses, which have become epidemic in the U.S., Walgreens is stocking Narcan in 8,000 pharmacies.
The noinprescription nasal spray can be used on overdose victims to reverse the effects of prescription painkillers and heroin, the company says.
"By stocking Narcan in all our pharmacies, we are making it easier for families and caregivers to help their loved ones by having it on hand," an executive says in a statement.
