The Free Press sums up a short period in Metro Detroit during which three women died at the hands of the men in their lives. The men killed themselves, too.

Lucinda Bailey was stabbed to death in her Inkster home.

Lorian Joy Handy was shot multiple times at her home in White Lake Township.

And Sharita Williams, loved ones fear, is the woman found dead in a burning Detroit office building.

All were killed this week -- believed to be victims of relationships that ended violently in apparent murder-suicides. Bailey's husband was found dead in his burning truck; Handy's husband apparently took his life with a gun, an official said a body found in the basement of the Detroit building may be that of Williams' ex-boyfriend.
