Detroit mayoral candidate Mike Dugeon was carjacked recently, according to sources who spoke with WDIV.

That's Mike Dugeon, with a "soft" g, not Mike Duggan, with a "hard" g.

The barber-turned-mayoral hopeful entered the race as a write-in candidate with a flurry of media coverage last week, confusing everyone and likely scaring the reporters that have to pronounce his name on live TV.

WDIV reports:

Sources tell Local 4 that Dugeon was carjacked Wednesday night about 11:30 p.m. at a liquor store a few blocks from the barber shop where he works.

Police confirm a carjacking took place near Wyoming and Eaton on Detroit’s west side and that a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix was taken.

Mike Dugeon is running on a platform of free Subway sandwiches for everyone. He did not show up to Tuesday night's mayoral debate.
