Police on Thursday conducted a second interview with a 13-year-old boy who claimed to have been pulled out of school and raped Wednesday because they have questions about his story, a police source familiar with the investigation told The Detroit News.
"Something doesn't seem right," said the source, who spoke to The News on condition of anonymity. "We have doubts, so we're interviewing him again."
The source said the boy's story initially seemed to be credible, but upon further investigation, questions arose.
The student, who attends Wayne Elementary School on Detroit's east side, had been expelled from the school earlier Wednesday, the police source said.
Detroit Public School officials were not immediately available for comment.
