Founders Brewing Co. recruiters will be at Masonic Temple next Thursday to meet applicants for the Grand Rapids beer maker's entry into Detroit.
The 20-year-old firm is opening a taproom at 456 Charlotte Street, off Cass Avenue on the edge of the emerging District Detroit sports, entertainment and residential area.
The 10-hour event Sept. 7 offers interviews from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. for managers, servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, catering staff, bouncers and retail clerks to start this fall or winter. No opening date is announced.

A posting shows the culture of this craft brewer started by Mike Stevens and Dave Engbers:
Founders Brewing Co. is officially and excitedly seeking seriously badass humans to staff our downtown Detroit taproom. . . .
We’re an ever-growing team of hard-working beer enthusiasts who take what we do seriously, but don’t take ourselves too seriously. . . .
We care about having a company where employees love what they do and regard themselves as the ultimate customers of the products we produce; we hire for personality, passion, and skill as much as for knowledge of our industry.

Applicants should bring a resume, as well as a cover letter for kitchen manager, events/promotion manager and security/safety manager. Those unable to attend can apply online here.
The company adds:
All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and must have a flexible availability, including availability on weekends.
