While dad is in prison serving a 28 year sentence, life must go on.

Ex-Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick's twin sons both signed letters-of-intent with the same college football program Wednesday afternoon, Ryan Van Dusen of Detroit Sports Nation reports.

Jalil and Jelani Kilpatrick, both 6-foot-three wide receivers, have signed on with  West Texas A&M, an NCAA Division II college located just south of Armarillo, Texas, the website writes.

Kilpatrick is serving a 28-year sentence in a federal prison in Oklahoma after getting convicted on public corruption and income tax charges.

If he's lucky, he'll get to see his children play ball on TV.

Clearly, he won't be able to attend his sons' games.
