Meat Shop Opening Carry-Out Deli in Eastern Market

Frank's Meats & Produce in Detroit's Eastern Market is opening up a carry-out deli sandwich joint some time this fall.

The deli, Frank's Deli & Grill, is connected to the meat market at 3405 Russell, and will serve traditional deli sandwiches and feature Wigley's corned beef, which is produced at another business in the market. 

Drita Gjokaja who, along with her husband, Frank, own the meat market, said the deli should open in about two months. Some of the electrical work in the shop has yet to be completed.

Pam Wigley, manager of Frank's Meats & Produce, said the deli will also have some seating, possibly 20 to 30 seats.

The store has a fresh meat counter that includes beef, spare ribs, chicken and Wigley's uncooked corned beef.
