Kujo's last moments took place in a backyard on Pinehurst on Detroit's West Side.
According to Fox2's Amy Lange, two pit bulls who live down the block attacked Kujo, dragged him out of the yard and mauled him so badly he had to be put down.
"I heard some screaming and stuff and it was the next door neighbor that saw what was happening back here, and when I guess she saw them (grab) him... she started banging on the door," the owner told her.
Nobody answered the door at the home where the pit bulls live. Detroit Police and Detroit Animal Control have been notified. Animal Control told me they are in the process of bringing the dogs in where they will be quarantined for ten days while an investigation is done and a decision made about whether or not they will be put down. Until then, there's serious concern in the neighborhood.
