A man arrested in connection the stabbing of two EMT workers on Tuesday, has been charged in two unrelated cases.
The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office announced Wednesday morning that Michael Montgomery, 30 , faces first-degree premeditated murder, first-degree felony murder, and criminal sexual conductfirst-degree in connection with a Jan.1, 2006, murder of a 16-year-old Detroit woman.
Authorities charged that Montgomery sexually assaulted and fatally stabbed a woman in the 19848 block of Joy Road in Detroit.
He is also charged in another incident with two-counts of criminal sexual conduct first-degree, kidnapping, torture and felony firearm in a Dec. 23, 2005, incident. Authorities allege that Montgomery kidnapped, tortured and sexually assaulted a 33-year-old Detroit woman in an alley in the 8600 block of Auburn in Detroit.
Formal charges have yet to be filed in the assault on the EMTs.
Update: Wednesday, 9:45 a.m. -- The Detroit News reports that the woman who was with the man at the time of the stabbings has also been arrested

A man wanted in the stabbing attack of two Detroit Emergency Medical Technicians was arrested arrested Tuesday night, Fox 2 reports.
Taryn Asher of Fox 2 reports that the suspect, Michael Montgomery, was spotted and arrested at Whitcomb and Fenkell on Detroit's northwest side Tuesday night. He also had two warrants for murder and rape from a 2006 cold case.
The two EMTs were treating a woman for a sore ankle on Tuesday around 12:30 a.m. Montgomery was with the woman when he allegedly attacked the two with box cutters, authorities say.
EMT Kelly Adams' face was slashed and her EMT partner, Alfredo Rojas, was stabbed in his right hand and slashed just below the right eye, Fox 2 reports.
